Overview
A Vaishnava temple within Multan Fort, beside the shrine of Bahauddin Zakariya, traditionally founded by Prahlada in honour of Narasimha. It has stood in ruins since 1992.
History
The founding attribution to Prahlada is legend, not history, and devotional sources place it in the Treta Yuga. What is documented is the modern sequence: communal violence at the site in 1881, and its destruction by a mob in December 1992.
Spiritual Significance
Tradition places the origin of Holi here, in the story of Prahlada and Holika, which makes this one of the most significant Vaishnava sites in the subcontinent by association. By the 1830s it was recorded as the only functioning Hindu place of worship left in Multan.

Pilgrimage Information
Current status: Ruined and not functioning. It was destroyed in December 1992 and reporting from 2006 describes the site as a rubbish dump. This is not a place of pilgrimage today. Anyone planning to travel should check entry requirements and local conditions independently and close to the date. Indian passport holders face visa restrictions for Pakistan that change with the political weather, and access to several of these sites has historically depended on organised pilgrim groups rather than individual travel.
