आपने गुरां जी की सेवा कीनी उनसे निर्गुण भक्ति लीनी। गुरां जी ने हृदय बैठक दीनी थे वो संत पुरी आनन्द॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....

You served Your Guru with devotion, and from Him received the grace of pure, formless (nirguna) devotion. Your Guru seated You within His own heart — He was the very joy of the assembly of saints.
आपने ध्यान में लिव लगाई, सकल ब्रह्म आत्म ज्योत जगाई। जीवा-जीव ब्रह्म दर्शाई, होय अज्ञान से ज्ञान आनन्द॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
āpane dhyāna meṃ liva lagāī, sakala brahma ātma jyota jagāī| jīvā-jīva brahma darśāī, hoya ajñāna se jñāna ānanda|| svāmī jī mere.....
You fixed Your attention in deep meditation and awakened the light of the Self, the all-pervading Brahman within. You showed that the individual soul and Brahman are one, turning ignorance into the bliss of true knowledge.
आपकी महिमा अति अगम बुद्धि समझ न पावे गम। हृदय शुद्ध दृष्टि सम कि मस्तक दर्शे सूरज चन्द॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
āpakī mahimā ati agama buddhi samajha na pāve gama| hṛdaya śuddha dṛṣṭi sama ki mastaka darśe sūraja canda|| svāmī jī mere.....
Your glory is utterly unfathomable; the intellect cannot grasp it. Only with a pure heart and equal-sighted vision can one behold, as if upon Your brow, the radiance of sun and moon together.
आपकी मधुर वाणी उर पन्द शकर से ज्यादा मीठी कंद। करें सब सामे उसे पसंद सुने से मिटे दर्द दुःख-द्वन्द्व॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
āpakī madhura vāṇī ura panda śakara se jyādā mīṭhī kaṃda| kareṃ saba sāme use pasaṃda sune se miṭe darda duḥkha-dvandva|| svāmī jī mere.....
Your sweet speech touches the heart, sweeter than sugar or sugar-candy. Everyone who hears it cherishes it; hearing it dissolves pain, sorrow, and every inner conflict.
दर पर भले-बुरे सब आवें, इच्छा पूर्ण होकर जावें। पाछे सब से यही बतलावें, प्रीति गुरां जी की मुझ पर बुलंद॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
dara para bhale-bure saba āveṃ, icchā pūrṇa hokara jāveṃ| pāche saba se yahī batalāveṃ, prīti gurāṃ jī kī mujha para bulaṃda|| svāmī jī mere.....
To Your door come both the good and the troubled alike, and all leave with their wishes fulfilled. Afterward, every one of them says the same: 'the Guru's love toward me is boundless.'
आपकी कृपा सब पर भारी जो समझे वो है अधिकारी। जो न समझे वो नाकारी आप हैं साचे और पाबन्द॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
āpakī kṛpā saba para bhārī jo samajhe vo hai adhikārī| jo na samajhe vo nākārī āpa haiṃ sāce aura pābanda|| svāmī jī mere.....
Your grace is immense upon everyone; whoever understands it is truly blessed. Whoever fails to understand it remains unworthy. You alone are ever true and steadfast.
आपने दुःख-सुख एक-सा माना, हर घट आत्म को पहचाना। जिसने मता आपका जाना मिटाया उसने जगत का फंद॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
āpane duḥkha-sukha eka-sā mānā, hara ghaṭa ātma ko pahacānā| jisane matā āpakā jānā miṭāyā usane jagata kā phaṃda|| svāmī jī mere.....
You regarded sorrow and joy as one and the same, and recognized the Self dwelling within every being. Whoever has grasped Your teaching has cut through the snare of this world.
स्वामी जी गो हूँ मैं सेवा हीन, पर हूँ कृपा के अधीन। तुमरी चरण शरण की लीव, काटो क्लेश दुःख और द्वन्द्व॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
svāmī jī go hū~ maiṃ sevā hīna, para hū~ kṛpā ke adhīna| tumarī caraṇa śaraṇa kī līva, kāṭo kleśa duḥkha aura dvandva|| svāmī jī mere.....
O Swami ji, though I am wanting in service to You, I remain wholly dependent on Your grace. My heart clings to the refuge of Your feet; cut away my afflictions, sorrows, and inner conflicts.
भवसागर से हमें उभारो, करूण जहाज बनाकर तारो। वैतरणी से पार उतारो, सवारी देकर ज्ञान समन्त॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
bhavasāgara se hameṃ ubhāro, karūṇa jahāja banākara tāro| vaitaraṇī se pāra utāro, savārī dekara jñāna samanta|| svāmī jī mere.....
Lift us up out of this ocean of worldly existence; become our compassionate vessel and carry us across. Ferry us over the river of the hereafter; grant us passage, bearing us with the fullness of true knowledge.
आपकी महिमा क्या कोई गावे, जन की बुद्धि पार न पावे। पर मन चित से शरणी जो आवे, उसी को होय सदा आनन्द॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
āpakī mahimā kyā koī gāve, jana kī buddhi pāra na pāve| para mana cita se śaraṇī jo āve, usī ko hoya sadā ānanda|| svāmī jī mere.....
Who indeed could ever sing Your glory in full? The human intellect cannot reach its limit. But whoever comes to Your refuge with heart and mind, that one alone finds everlasting bliss.
आपकी महिमा जग में फैली, बंट रही धन मुक्ति की थैली। दुनियां न समझे अलबेली, मूर्ख बे बुद्धि मति-मन्द॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
āpakī mahimā jaga meṃ phailī, baṃṭa rahī dhana mukti kī thailī| duniyāṃ na samajhe alabelī, mūrkha be buddhi mati-manda|| svāmī jī mere.....
Your glory has spread throughout the world; the treasure-bag of liberation is being freely given out. Yet the heedless world does not understand it — foolish, witless, and dull of mind.
गुरां की महिमा रल-मिल गाओ और अभिमान को दूर हटाओ। प्रेम की नदियां खूब बहाओ, जोड़ कर कहे छंद यह 'नन्द'॥ स्वामी जी मेरे.....
gurāṃ kī mahimā rala-mila gāo aura abhimāna ko dūra haṭāo| prema kī nadiyāṃ khūba bahāo, joḍa़ kara kahe chaṃda yaha 'nanda'|| svāmī jī mere.....
Come, join together and sing the Guru's glory, and cast pride far away. Let the rivers of love flow abundantly — thus, composing this verse, 'Nand' offers it.
