Meaning
O Jagannath, Guru of the world, You are the hope of Your devotees; the moment Your name is taken, sorrow and suffering vanish.
I am lowly and dull of mind, unaware of the proper way to worship; do not hold my faults against me, Lord, for I am Your own child.

Meaning
Victory to Jagannath, Protector of the world, Destroyer of the fear of worldly existence, Remover of all sorrow.
For one who has no companion at all, You alone are the sole support.
You remove the sorrows of Your devotees; You always dwell in the hearts of Your saints.
Your name is the purifier of the fallen; in all the world You alone are dear to every heart.
Your abode is at Shankhakshetra; Your name alone takes away pain.
On the sea shore, atop Nilachal, You have made Your dwelling place.
One who holds Your form in the heart, the worries of the world do not trouble him.
Whoever comes to take refuge in You, You save that one from every calamity.
Your abode is unlike any other abode; without it, every pilgrimage remains incomplete.
Until Your darshan is had, life and pilgrimage remain fruitless.
You have neither hands nor feet, O Lord, yet You are the support of everyone.
You are called the Lord of the world; everyone sings Your glory.
In the maidservant devotee's simple offering of greens and rice, O Lord, she saw Your very form.
Taking a coconut to offer, she reached Your door, O Lord.
You brought food on a golden plate, and satisfied the hungry devotee.
Even Your chariot came to a halt for the sake of a devotee who had sung Your name.
Seeing the Gita Govinda left unfinished, You took the poet's own form.
Bound by the bond of love, Jagannath, You came to complete the unfinished composition.
You ate Karma Bai's simple khichdi; love alone cannot be bought at any price.
You do not heed distinctions of caste or creed; You keep a gaze of grace upon everyone.
Shankar Dev, Guru Nanak, and Kabir, all of them sang Your glory.
Wherever a devotee is, You are there too; such is Your glory as Lord.
Riding upon Your chariot to grant darshan, You come with a joyous heart.
Say "Victory to Jagannath" with love; make this life blessed.
